This is a super antique Regency rosewood tea caddy dating from c1820 and in excellent original condition.
It measures 13" (33 cms) x 7" (18 cms) x 7" (18 cms) and is smothered in fine brass inlay in swags and swirls, with the two inner hinged lids having brass inlay too.
We have cleaned and waxed the caddy, but it needed no restoration at all as it is in such excellent condition.
None of the rosewood is missing, and all of the brass is perfectly intact and to the sides are rather nice brass lion's head handles with rings.
The glass mixing bowl is not original but it sits perfectly in the gap and works absolutely fine.
