This is a beautiful antique mahogany tea caddy in the style of Thomas Sheraton and dating to around c1800.
It measures 8" (20 cms) across x 5" (12.5 cms) x 6" (15 cms) and is in wonderful original condition.
It has original brass ring handles to each end and four brass lion's paw feet.
On the front is a satinwood cartouche and all the edges are finished in a thin line of satinwood.
It has a superb antique patina and inside there are two lovely lids with matching satinwood knobs..
There is some wear to the silver foil lining of the actual areas that would hold the tea.
