This is a superb antique Georgian hallmarked sterling silver snuff box measuring 2 1/2" (6.5 cms) x 1 1/2" (4.5 cms).
It opens and closes perfectly with a good strong hinge and the interior is in very good condition and gilded inside.
It's hallmarked for Birmingham 1822 with the silversmiths mark for Thomas Shaw.
It weighs 70 grams/2.2 troy oz and the whole item is in excellent condition with no inscriptions or monograms.
